She is a convent educated girl and has completed her B.A.(hons.) in History from Lady Shriram College (LSR), New Delhi, LLB from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and her LLM from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. She has worked as a Legal Expert at the National Commission for Women under the aegis of Ministry of Women and Child Development and currently working as a Consultant with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
