Looks like you are in luck today. :D, well I just mean you are to read a lot, a lottttt, so what if we don't click. Also I realized my parents with all the right intent and immense love for me, created an idealistic version of me which as appealing as it may sound was not true, so I decided to handle this manhunt :p myself :).
A Mumbaikar, use all modes of public transport, cant drive for nuts (I have a legal license though :)). Be it school, college, and now even my baking orders I am comfortable to jump in bus, cab, and rick. I have an MA in arts, as well as a diploma in business management. Pursuing business was natural; I come from a business family background, post which I worked for a couple of years in family owned textile business. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to close down the business. And then I took up my passion seriously, which involves cooking, baking, and teaching now.
Straightening out the cooking and... more baking bit, I am not into cooking the dal, chawal, sabzi, roti, everyday. I cook unconventional delights, rather experiments for family and friends once a while.Gnocchi, Arancini balls, Veg. sushi, Basbousa cake, Bhapadoi,Opera cake, Burmese khao suey, Thaat idli, Mi- goreng, I hope you have not heard many from these, if you have its my bad and I need to keep reinventing myself:). But if you are keen to know more on,ingredients, how to cook, I am happy to converse. :) Lately I am in the mode of preparing recipes for Gluten Free and Vegan Cakes, premixes. Well someone has to cater to this audience too, everyone deserves sweets :). Sadly friends and family, invite me to parties to be a spot chef, I think now I even enjoy this aspect. Making deserts from most basic stuff available is a high in itself, try me sometime :). One of the occupational hazards I have developed, which the guy may have to bear, I go to any eatery and start an ingredient guessing mode. I am trying to get better at it, I promise :). When I say teaching, I enjoy mostly teaching kids baking. Baking stories are fun, and that reminds me how I mess up things occasionally, more when we talk. Besides baking I take IGCSE (international school) board Hindi tuition's for age group 6 to 14 yrs.Basically I converse well in Hindi too :).
I want to layout something clear, on why I am not keen on pursuing a career in corporate sector, the amount of freedom and creativity I can explore myself, I don't think a large cooperation with aim of profits could offer that, also I am not made for a cut throat environment. I like my space, my style, my comfort to work. So even today I don't run my business like a thorough professional, I treat my passion with love. The more the business becomes transactional the more I feel it loses the essence of truly what it is meant for. I am happy if my customer is happy at the end of the day and feels the necessity to recommend my work to others. Though, I am not close minded, if someday I can create my brand, without losing this personal touch aspect, I would be more than happy to explore. Also note I am not a chief wage earner in my family :), just so that you know. I earn my living, my lifestyle and enjoy my passion.
On a typical day, you will find me reading a lot which spans from anything on Occult science, (Spirituality,Meditation, Numerology, Tarot reading, Reiki), or something on businesses(Forbes, Your story), or about recipes around the world, actually this makes up a large part of my reading. Then I would spend a lot of my pending time in the kitchen exploring how different ingredients can be flavored, mixed together, catch up with some TV shows on Netflix, some music, definitely go for regular workouts and keep burning all the calories gained from sheer tasting:) is a must. Lately I am a bit obsessed with solar energy, Tesla has me fascinated, and I am planning to take up preaching green energy as my next passion.:P
The guy I have a vague idea about-Someone, who is very compassionate, understands and respects the choices people make. I have met few men, who don't think highly of the work and life I chose. I am fine if it doesn't suit you, but I don't feel anyone's work is lesser important, as far as we feel purposeful in what we do. Imagine a world without bakers :). Independent thinker, open minded, fun loving, believes in relationships, has passion and has meaningful purpose in life is a must. Some side demands :), likes staying fit, traces of spirituality is a plus - plus, enjoys eating (come on this is non negotiable :)). Has flair to talk, dresses reasonably, I don't believe in one sided chivalry. Hope the list is not too long and implying perfection :). If you are in a race to get ahead of others, I don't know if we will blend, but we can always talk to know what the race looks like and if it excites me I will be happy to join in.
I did not know what more to write about myself, so I asked a cousin of mine to give a honest testimonial about me and here is what she has to say: - Hemangni, is a born mother which means she watches your back when you are going crazy (sometimes even when drunk), Schools you when required, she is the saving face with parents, loves unconditionally, relationships that matter to her she will go all out, doesn't feel shy to let her hair down when the music is on, and the list is endless. The top most quality of Hema is her nature to nurture close relationships and this value makes her a lifelong keeper.
In Mumbai, my family comprises of my mom, dad, bhai, bhabhi, and two beautiful young nieces. Dad and mom are retired and ageing, bhai is a passionate architect, bhabhi is into spiritual healing. Both my nieces are teens now, and are a handful but are my bundle of joy and pride. We are close knit small family, and find strength in each other.
Currently I am at my lowest when it comes to this man hunt, simply to put "shaadi.com" can get very depressing for Indian women. Believe me; I have talked to many women on this subject! I just mean to say, if I am not open in the first few conversations its simply coming from my learning curve on this website. So I hope you have the patience and not in a hurry to notch things up.
PS: If you are interested in casual dating, or fulfilling some crazy fantasy of yours I wish you good luck with finding it somewhere else. I request don't bother me, it will be an utter kill for you. Hope you get it, or else more clearly when we talk.
I have an elite family background with liberal values. My father is a businessman while my mother is a homemaker. I have two brothers, both are married.
