I am a post-doctoral researcher in biological sciences at a university in the U.S. (East Coast). I finished my PhD from a CSIR institute in Delhi in 2021. Ours is a small nuclear family. I was born and brought up in Delhi. My father hails from UP (Jat) and my mother is from Tamil Nadu (Tamil Brahmin). My father is a recently retired central government employee based in Delhi. I had a differently-abled (Down syndrome) younger brother who sadly passed away. My mother was also a central government employee who took voluntary retirement from service to take care of my brother.

I am passionate about my work and would want a partner that appreciates and supports this. I appreciate the beauty in Indian traditions and culture but I'm not extremely religious. I have grown up celebrating festivals from both North and South, however I do not understand and speak Tamil. On a lighter note, I love a range of music from Coldplay to Mohammad Rafi. I enjoy traveling, watching movies and... more tv-shows, and a bit of painting. In a partner, I am looking for someone who is caring, honest, open-minded, family-oriented, shares my interests and someone I can build a life with.
