My mother shortlisted Ankur's profile and send him an invite. He accepted the same and shared his contact details but my mom was unable to contact him as she was abroad and international roaming wasn't activated on her number hence she couldn't make a voice call. She reached out to me to make a call on Ankur's contact and ask for an alternative contact where whatsapp/facetime call can be made. That's how we talked for the first time. During our first conversation we discovered that we are from same home town i.e. Gorakhpur ( Uttar Pradesh) and had lots of mutual friends . We talked for around 1 month and then we decided to meet in person. Then our parents met and finalized the date for our engagement and wedding. We got engaged on 20th Jan and our wedding is scheduled on 6th May. Thank you Shaadi.com for making this happen.
